Hello! As you scroll through my posts on my blog, you may notice that it has been a while since I have posted on here. That's because I have switched over to posting on my photography facebook page.
Posting there allows me to post more frequently due to the ease of uploading and posting photos and descriptions. Please visit me there and I would love for you to leave a comment!
You can find it at by clicking here.
I would also love for you to check out my new blog! This blog is a mixture of antiques and photography. I love both and I am combining the two in The Dated Camera Blog! Please check it out and share it with friends and family. I will be updating it several times a week so please keep coming back.
Thank you so much for checking out my work!

Week 5, Project 52: Reflections
The fun thing about Project 52 is that as the "creator" I can choose what I want to post as long as it falls in the category of the topic covered for that particular week.
When I came up with ideas of what I wanted to post, I tried to think of things that would be fun to do. When I thought of the topic Reflections, I had intended to take a picture of my self in some sort of reflective surface.
Then I got another idea...... I decided to post some photos reflecting my childhood. These are precious memories to me and I hope you enjoy the photos. I would not trade growing up with my sister for anything.
From left to right Amy (cousin), Meredith (sister), Me, and Sarah (cousin)
This was at my Grandmothers house in Statesville. It was the Spring of 1982, I believe. This was Easter Sunday.
This is my sister and I. Also, Easter Sunday. This was taken at my Aunt's house in Denver, NC. I believe this was 1983.
I will never forget this trip....not because I loved it! Haha! Camping at the beach is not really all that fun. It's hot and you can't get rid of the sand. From Left to right, Abby, Me, My sister, Jill, Kim, and Adam. I was 11 so this was 1989.
This one makes me laugh. This was our first house and my sister and loved to play outside. I don't remember the names of the cats we are holding but I think my sister is holding Buttercup. Although I look naked, I am actually wearing underwear. We played outside like that all the time. I'm guessing this was the summer of 1980.
I LOVE this one! This is me and my sister Christmas Eve 1987ish at my Maw-maws house. I thought it would be cool to pose with a bunch of candy canes. I was wrong.
This is a memory that I thought was long gone! This was my Aunt's room at my Mawmaw's house. It's funny how you can look back at a certain time in your life and not realize at the time how things really are. I vaguely remember when my Aunt still lived there but I remember that Unicorn! My sister and I look super cool, don't we?
A birthday I will never forget!! I was 7 and I had my party at the skating rink! I was actually wearing skates in this shot, but you can't tell.
Disney World!!! I *think* this was the summer of 1981. It was sooooooo hot!!! I remember after this shot that my mama took us into the bathroom, and took our dresses off and ran cold water over them and then we put them back on.

Project 52, Week 4: Height
For this week's Project 52 post, I originally was planning on climbing up somewhere, and taking a picture. Instead I decided to get a shot like I was a small bug.
This is a tree in my front yard. It looks so much taller from this angle!

Week 3: Black & White
This weeks theme for Project 52 is Black & White.
I love the feel a black & white photo portrays. It can make you feel emotion, give you a sense of time, define the contrast of a photo.....so many things.
For this week, I chose a photo that I took yesterday. When I look at this photo it makes me sad. I imagine what it must have been like to walk through the backyard, then maybe through a fence, and into the barn. Possibly to get food for the animals or a tractor to plow the land. I get sad because it seems that most people have forgotten about this piece of land and what it meant to someone. It was once a lovely spot where a two story farmhouse stood. It will soon be torn down and more than likely a gas station or bank will be built in its place.
When you look at this photo, try to imagine what it was like when this farm was at it's prime.....

Project 52, Week 2 : Fur
This weeks theme for Project 52 is fur!
I have two cats so it wasn't hard to pick anything that was fur related.
One of my cats has extremely long fur and it always looks messed up. Shes a very fat cat so she can hardly bathe herself. It can be amusing to watch her try to lick herself where she can't reach.
When she lays on her side, her fur sticks straight up. This picture doesn't even do justice to her beautiful fur.
So, here is this weeks photo based on FUR!

Meredith & Luke : Project Give Back
Just a few days ago I announced Project Give Back
Meet the first couple for this Project.....
This is Meredith and Luke. Two very sweet people. I first met Meredith when she asked me to photograph her wedding in 2008. It was a beautiful wedding and I was so happy to be a part of it.
Fast forward to the Christmas Season of 2011. While most people are celebrating what the Season means they had to endure the loss of everything in a house fire. Ever since I heard about it, I have been heart broken for them. I can't begin to image to know what it would be like to lose everything you own. Clothes. Furniture. Pets. Photos. A few months later I made her a new wedding album and remade her CD's of her bridal session and wedding.
They were able to rebuild in the spot where they lost everything, and almost exactly one year after the fire, they moved into their new home.
I know that I can't give them back the photos they lost, but it is my hope that these photos will help create new memories.

Project Give Back
God gives us all talents, gifts, and abilities to help others. Whether it be dancing, teaching, cooking, or another gift, we are all able to help others.
I may not be able to perform surgery but I can do many things with what God has given me.
For the past 5 years I have held a contest and given away a free wedding. I decided not to the that this year. Instead of picking one couple, I will pick several. Several families who can use a blessing. I may "just be a photographer" but I believe that no matter what gift you have, you are able to touch someone with love and kindness.
Through out the year I will be choosing UP TO 4 families who will receive a free photo session There is no set date of when someone will be chosen. It could be April, July..... How will I find out about these families? Well, that's where YOU come in! We all know someone who would love something like this, so I'm asking all of you to let me know of a family or person who you want to nominate.
You can send as many nominations as you want through out 2013...
Please email your nominations or questions to jenniferscamera1@aol.com

Project 52: A photo challenge
Whoa!! Where have I been? Well like almost everyone else on the planet, I have been on facebook.
I started posting my work on my facebook page because it is SO much easier then uploading to my blog.
I decided to use my blog again and I thought the best way to do that would be a photo project! I have wanted to try one but never really made an effort.
How does it work?
Well.....once a week I will post a photo. The photo that I post will be about the topic that is assigned to that week. The goal is to post a new photo, but if I can't find a photo to take, I can use something I already have. Photos for the week will be posted by Monday with the exception of the first week.
I am excited about this and I hope you will follow along with me. I can't promise I won't get behind, but I can promise ALOT of pictures!!!
So, here is my list that I came up with. If you have a 365 project or 52 week photo challenge, please post it in the comment section so I can follow you!
Be sure to come back every Monday to see what I posted :-)
