Rachel & Jeffrey : MEGA post!

WOW what a day..................a F-U-N day!!!!
I was really excited when Rachel picked the mountains for their session. I grew up going to the mountains and I love being there. They really didn't care where we went...just as long as we were in the mountains. I brought along my sweet intern, Julia - she had never been to the mountains! She was soooooooooooooo excited and I was happy that she could go.

We started out in Blowing Rock. This little town is so cute! There are shops, restaurants, a park.... It's perfect for photos!

Rachel & Jeffrey were sooooo easy to work with!!! Look how cute they are!!

After Blowing Rock, we were going to head out to Linville Falls. We weren't going to go to the actual falls because of the walk, but I had a plan :-) As we were turing onto the Parkway, I spotted this beautiful spot so we stopped for a few photos....

He got some air!!!

We stopped again at the fences on the road that leads to the falls and did a few shots there. I love this ring shot!

So, we finally made it to the water. Since this was Julia's first time in the mountains, I knew she had never felt chilly mountain water before. I was ready....

I won't mention what happened next because if I tell you that Rachel fell in, she might get mad at me :-)

This was a fun ring shot.... I made a tower of rocks and put her ring in the water on top. I tested it first to make sure it would stay though. I didn't want to have to go swimming :-)

The next location was Valle Crucis and the Mast General Store. I am a sucker for old buildings and I love the look of the area. When we left Linville Falls, I didn't realize how late it was. My sister asked me to get her some candy from there so I drove as fast as I could. We got there one minute late so we didn't get to go inside AND my sister didn't get her candy :-(

I just love lighting checks :-)

The weather was PERFECT for photographing and they did such a fantastic job! They were willing to try anything :-) I felt bad because the ground was wet, but they didn't seem to mind.
I think this location was a prefect choice for this awesome family!

Does anyone wanna guess what's in those white bags???

2011 Free Wedding Photography Contest!

CLICK HERE FOR THE 2012 CONTEST CLICK HERE

I love photographing weddings....This is the day that two people in love join their lives together and commit to love each other forever. There are happy, sad, funny, and even awkward moments. I even get teary eyed......when the father of the Bride sees his daughter for the first time in her gown, when the groom sings a song to his Bride during the ceremony, when the sister or best friend tells stories of how wonderful their friendship is.... Each of those moments are special and I get to photograph it all! I am blessed to have a job where I can meet wonderful people and share my gift.

Now to the good part.....

Are you getting married in 2011? Do you have an awesome love story? Have you or your fiance overcome something that most people don't? Then I want to hear your story!!!!

Here is what I am looking for:

A true love story. (If you are getting married than you automatically qualify!)

You have to be getting married in 2011.

You must be willing to allow some of your photos to be posted on http://jenniferbrownphotography.blogspot.com/.

What I'm not looking for:

Someone who is having a totally expensive wedding ( Out of country weddings are OK...I know that can turn out to be cheaper.)

Someone who is just looking for a free ride.

A made-up story.

You must have not already booked a photographer. (this is a HUGE one!)

Does this sound like you or someone you know? Then here is what you need to do:
